“I would like to use dance to be a positive influence in the community by showing others that you do not have to be like everyone else…”

How does dance have a positive impact on your life?

Dance has taught me to express myself through the art of dance and movement and to be confident on and off the stage. It has also taught me that males can be dancers too in spite of what others may say.

My Quote: “I never tried to prove anything to someone else. I wanted to prove something to myself.” — Kobe Bryant

How do you want to use dance to be a positive influence on your community?

I would like to use dance to be a positive influence in the community by showing others that you do not have to be like everyone else and that it is okay to be different. I would also like to speak out to other male dancers in my area that may be going through the same things I was going through. I can be the person they look up to or they come to for advice on how to handle bullying from others.
