For fans of Jenny Han’s (many) amazing books and all things To All The Boys, the latest page-to-screen adaptation of a teen novel is almost here. Jenny Han’s The Summer I Turned Pretty is set to join Amazon’s lineup of TV series soon. This week, Amazon shared the first looks at the show. We’re already hooked looking at stills of Isabel “Belly” (Lola Tung), Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno), and Laurel (Chris Briney)

The Summer I Turned Pretty is a multigenerational drama that hinges on a love triangle between one girl and two brothers, the ever-evolving relationship between mothers and their children, and the enduring power of strong female friendship. It is a coming-of-age story about first love, first heartbreak, and the magic of that one perfect summer.

Starring Lola Tung, Jackie Chung, Rachel Blanchard, Christopher Briney, Gavin Casalegno, Sean Kaufman, Alfredo Narciso, and Minnie Mills, with Colin Ferguson and Tom Everett Scott, The Summer I Turned Pretty is led by showrunners Jenny Han and Gabrielle Stanton. Jenny Han also wrote the pilot for the series.

While a release date for the series has not been announced, we have our fingers crossed for a summer adventure, of course. In the meantime, the cast and Jenny Han have been sharing their favorite moments from the book that started it all. It might be the perfect time to read The Summer I Turned Pretty—and its sequels It’s Not Summer Without You, and We’ll Always Have Summer—if you haven’t already.
