The 2020 Tony Awards were revealed last week in a video announcement from Tony Award-winning actor and Aladdin star James Monroe Iglehart. The Tonys have faced many complications in selecting nominees and planning the ceremony as the season was cut short by the COVID-19 Pandemic. This has led to some productions getting left out of this year’s nominations and some categories with few nominations. (Categories with only one nominee need an affirmative vote of sixty percent to win the award.) A date and other details for the virtual ceremony have not been announced.

Jagged Little Pill led with fifteen nominations, followed closely by Moulin Rouge! with fourteen. Slave Play and Tina: The Tina Turner Musical tied with twelve nominations each. Check out the full list of nominees below.
