It has been almost three years since Spongebob Squarepants, The Broadway Musical left the stage. If you missed out on a Broadway trip to Bikini Bottom or you’ve been wanting to relive the live-action Spongebob adventure, you’re in luck. The stage recording of the underwater musical is coming to Paramount Plus.

Spongebob Squarepants, The Broadway Musical (starring Ethan Slater as Spongebob) was only open for a year, but in that time, the production ran 327 performances and even won the 2018 Tony Award for Best Scenic Design of a Musical. It also won the 2018 Outer Critics Circle award for Outstanding New Score. (Ethan Slater singing “The Best Day Ever” definitely rocked 2018.)

One of more than 50 shows and movies coming to Paramount’s streaming platform, the recording of the show, titled The Spongebob Musical: Live on Stage!, has previously aired on Nickelodeon and is even out on DVD. The Spongebob Musical: Live on Stage! comes to Paramount Plus on July 14.
