Kenny Ortega’s (of High School Musical and Descendants fame) latest project, Julie and The Phantoms, is coming to Netflix next month. Until now, we’ve been obsessing over teasers featuring Julie and the phantom boys that become her band, but we finally have a look at the full-length trailer for the musical series.

Julie and The Phantoms follows High schooler Julie (Madison Reyes), who lost her passion for music after her mom died last year. But when the ghosts of three dreamy musicians (Charlie Gillespie, Owen Patrick Joyner, Jeremy Shada) from 1995 suddenly appear in her mom’s old music studio, Julie feels her own inner spirit beginning to reawaken, and she’s inspired to start singing and writing songs again. As their friendship with Julie grows, the boys convince her to create a new band together: Julie and the Phantoms.

The trailer reveals that not only will Julie and the band be making a major impact with their musical talents. Things will get complicated as other characters try to interfere with the newly formed group–in this world and the next.

Check out the full trailer below!

Julie and The Phantoms will premiere on Netflix on September 10. The soundtrack to the series–which has fifteen original songs–will also release on September 10. One of the musical numbers from Julie and The Phantoms, “Edge of Great,” is already available to stream. Cue us listening to it on repeat.
