The Houston Ballet Just Brought The Office and Dance Together (Again)

We've been waiting for this since March.

The Houston Ballet certainly has a lot of fun putting on some of the most amazing performances out there, but even better than their talent on stage and on the dance floor is the mischief they get up to when promoting their shows. Usually, The Houston Ballet shares the sneak previews of their performances, showcasing the dancers and their immaculate, eye-catching costumes. (Someone call their costume department to teach us their ways!) These promotional videos are gorgeous representations of The Houston Ballet's exhilarating performances, but sometimes even the most serious professionals have to dance over to the dark side of the stage and let loose once in a while. And how better to let loose than to show off your amazing costumes and your performers' acting skills than a parody of The Office?

There probably isn't a better way, and The Houston Ballet seems to agree. They put together their first parody in March with the cast of their Cinderella ballet.

"Who abbreviates my name to 'Cind'?"

It seems like this wasn't a one-time thing, though. Yesterday, the ballet posted a new parody (be still, our Office-loving hearts) to their Facebook page, this time featuring the cast of their current ballet, La Bayadère. Jealous of another performer's promotion, Gamzatti and Ajah try to sabotage her and, in true Office form, it doesn't exactly go as planned.

These parodies make us want to rewatch The Office again (or write out own parody...The Studio???) And we definitely want more of these parodies to go along with their upcoming performances, but we'll settle for just being able to see more of their beautiful dances. Until then, we'll just have to run out and see La Bayadère at The Houston Ballet.
