The 1996 movie The Craft is a Halloween classic. Witches, high school drama, and of course, magic are all the ingredients for the perfect spooky night. While The Craft is in popular movie lineups for the spooky season (the film appears in Freeform’s Freeform’s “31 Nights of Halloween” schedule five times!), Robin Tunney, Neve Campbell, Rachel True, and Fairuza Balk aren’t the only four witches you should be excited to see this October. (No, we’re not talking about the Sanderson sisters.)

Columbia Pictures and Blumhouse are behind a new movie–not a reboot, but a sequel to The Craft. The Craft: Legacy stars Cailee Spaeny, Gideon Adlon, Lovie Simone, and Zoey Luna. Like Sarah (Robin Tunney) in the original film, this sequel features a group of witches who welcome a fourth unsuspecting teen into their group and show her everything magic has to offer.

Based on the trailer, it looks like our new witches know something about the coven that came before them. Will they learn from their mistakes? New spells (like bath rituals) and old (like the classic “light as a feather, stiff as a board” game) appear in this film. Will the 2020 coven be kinder than the 1996 one? Will anyone have to be bound like Nancy? We’ll have to wait until the movie’s release on October 28 via PVOD.
