As if Taylor Swift arriving at the MTV VMAs 2022 last night wasn’t big enough news for the pop star that has been dodging awards shows for a while, Taylor couldn’t leave the VMAs without sharing some big news.

While many Swifties have been looking for clues about which rerecorded album might follow Red (Taylor’s Version), Taylor surprised us all with big news while she accepted the Moon Person for Video of the Year for her short film “All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version).”

“I had sort of made up my mind that if you were going to be this generous and give us this, I thought it might be a fun moment to tell you that my brand-new album comes out Oct. 21st,” she said, dazzling in a crystal Oscar de La Renta gown the reminded fans of a diamond-covered Swift in her “Look What You Made Me Do” music video.

So, it looks like we can continue to debate which album will next receive the rerecording treatment. Taylor Swift’s tenth studio album Midnights is set to release October 21, 2022. Featuring 13 tracks (Taylor’s signature number, of course), the album with an edgy modern styling will feature what Taylor calls “the stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout my life.”

TS10 is on the way, people! Time to start theorizing. Midnight is about to get a lot more intense.
