BTS’ surprise new single “Permission to Dance” is out now, and no, we don’t need permission to dance. In fact, we can’t stop dancing to the K-pop group’s new English single.

Written by Ed Sheeran, “Permission to Dance” is a bright summer bop full of positivity. Check out the chorus.

“I wanna dance
The music’s got me going
Ain’t nothing that can stop how we move, yeah
Let’s break our plans
And live just like we’re golden
And roll in like we’re dancing fools

The chorus (and the music video) are all about celebrating through music and movement. (Maybe a celebration of many things around the world reopening?) This isn’t just aesthetic either. At the end of the “Permission to Dance” BTS and the production crew dance to the song as a group in front of the western laundromat set.

It wouldn’t be the perfect summer dance song without a dance to learn, right? When the song premiered, BTS’s performance and talk show special, A Butterful Getaway with BTS, also made its debut. One of the performances was a stage performance of “Permission to Dance” that was not only incredibly fun to watch, but also perfect for learning the choreography for the song from the piano key gesture nod to Elton John to the chorus moves. (And, if you want to learn the moves for more than just fun, there is a YouTube shorts challenge for the single.)
