Coop and Cami Ask the World star Paxton Booth is always looking for ways to be more positive and creative. From #PancakeswithPaxton to funny moments from the show, he is always sharing fun and uplifting things with his fans. Right now, when we’re all trying to find creative ways to make the most of our time, that’s even more important, so we had to catch up with Paxton to find out everything he’s doing at home to stay safe, happy, and motivated.

Paxton’s Book Club Picks

Paxton loves adventures, so it’s no wonder that his reading list is full of action and surprises. “I just finished the first Spy School book by Stuart Gibbs, and it was really good!” He shared with us. “Now I’m on to Pan’s Labyrinth: The Labyrinth of the Faun by Guillermo del Toro. He has an amazing ability to describe things that make you feel like you are in the book.”

Did you know Pan’s Labyrinth is also a movie? If you read along with Paxton, you might want to follow up with a movie night. Luckily, Paxton has a virtual book club! You can keep up by following him on Instagram (@paxtonbooth) and tagging #PageswithPaxton.

Sometimes, you need a major watch-list to stay busy. Paxton and his family are working their way through the Marvel cinematic universe in order, but that’s not his only big watch project right now. “I’m watching the show Supernatural on Netflix,” he said. “There are fourteen seasons on there, and each one is so addicting!” With that many hours of TV and movies to watch, we think Paxton has entertainment more than covered.

An Expansive Playlist

Modern or retro? Pop or alternative? Paxton’s listening to it all right now. “I’ve been listening to Beastie Boys Greatest Hits and The Best of David Bowie. I have both of them on vinyl record.” Paxton loves a throwback, but he likes today’s hits, too. “When my parents want the house quiet, I usually listen to Pandora with my AirPods. My favorite stations are Lizzo and Panic! at the Disco.” What does your music spectrum look like?

Staying in Touch with Friends and Family

It takes more than good movies and the perfect daily soundtrack to stay positive. Paxton is also being mindful of what he’s giving his attention to. “Honestly, I’m staying away from the news,” Paxton said. “I think that’s what really keeps me going. I know what I’m supposed to do and what I’m not supposed to do, and I think that’s all the information I need right now since I’m just a kid.” The other thing that’s keeping his outlook bright? His friends and family. “I choose to spend my time at home with my family. I’ve also been checking in on my friends a bunch. Staying in touch with the outside world is so important!”
