“When dance is your passion, there are always opportunities to have a positive influence on your community.”

How does dance have a positive impact on your life?

Dance is always there–even in the middle of a worldwide pandemic. When everything around me was shut down, I was still able to dance. We were flexible and created a new environment that consisted of Zoom and re-arranging furniture for dance space. While it wasn’t without challenges, it was also very fulfilling to know that dance can be anywhere and everywhere.

How do you want to use dance to be a positive influence on your community?

I am always looking for new opportunities to bring people together through the power of dance. One of my favorites is offering free dance classes to those with special needs. That experience fuels my passion to share my love of dance with others. Choreographing for fundraisers and dancing at charity events are other ways I use my craft to give back. When dance is your passion, there are always opportunities to have a positive influence on your community.
