Amber Wilson is a 15-year-old dancer from Cary, North Carolina. She dances at Cary Dance Productions.

“I believe dance can unite a community for a greater good.”

How does dance have a positive impact on your life?

“I absolutely LOVE dance and look forward to going to the studio every day! It has had a major positive impact on my life, giving me an outlet to express my feelings with others and a chance to escape the stress of school and everyday life. I am so grateful for the opportunities dance has given me. I have been able to travel to different parts of the country to perform and make lots of new friends everywhere I go!

How do you want to use dance to make a positive influence on your community?

“I want to use my dance to inspire others to reach their goals because anything is possible if you put in the effort. I also believe dance can unite a community for a greater good. I already put this into action at my studio when we organize an annual benefit show enabling us dancers to use our time, talent, and treasure to raise money and collect supplies for a local charity that supports families, and inspires the community to give back. I look forward to this event each year to be able to perform on stage and help the community!
