Shawn Mendes’ self-titled new album came out last week, but his new multi-stylistic album isn’t all his fans are talking about. While millions are memorizing the lyrics to “Lost in Japan” and “Youth,” Mendes is heading off on a European tour. The tour will take his new pop R&B sound around the continent, but the tour’s behind the scenes will be available on YouTube before we know it.

Working with YouTube vlog star Casey Neistat, Shawn Mendes is going to release a documentary for his European Tour. Part of Casey’s latest project “368,” a collaborative platform where he plans to work with filmmakers, fellow YouTubers, musicians, and more. Now, a month into the project which includes a podcast, a future gaming group, and more, Casey is working on a project that goes beyond his own audience and reaches out to Mendes’ fans and a young, tour-obsessed audience in general.

The documentary will follow Casey and Mendes’ shared tour experience and overall give a deeper look into what it means to be a popstar and how Vine star turned celebrity Shawn Mendes goes through the motions of bringing his music directly to his fans around the world.
There’s no official word about when Casey will be releasing the documentary, what it will be called, or even if it will be in one or multiple parts, but Casey did reveal in a vlog that he would be finishing up the documentary over the next few weeks. For now, we have fourteen new tracks to memorize while we wait.
