The highly anticipated competition reality show from Lizzo is finally here! in Lizzo’s Watch Out for The Big Grrrls, the “Truth Hurts” singer is on the lookout for talented dancers to join her on tour and highlight that big dancers are capable of incredible performances. Based on the sneak peeks that we’ve been given so far, it looks like the show will also carry out Lizzo’s message of body positivity and confidence as we learn each dancer’s story and talents.

Premiering today on Amazon’s Prime Video Watch Out for The Big Grrrls features Lizzo herself alongside choreographer Tanisha Scott and O.G. Big Grrrls Chawnta’ Marie Van, Shirlene Quigley, and Grace Holden. Choreographer Charm La’Donna, body movement expert Rashida KhanBey Miller, and multi-platinum singer/songwriter SZA also joined on to help challenge and teach the competing dancers.

James Clark, Amazon Studios – L-R Sydney Bell, Charity Holloway, Arianna Davis, Ashley Williams, Jayla Sullivan, Asia Banks, and Kiara Mooring: some of the hopeful women competing to join Lizzo’s Big Grrrls.

In the first episode of the eight-episode season, 13 dancers arrive in Hollywood hoping to be one of Lizzo’s next dancers. They will start training with Lizzo’s team and prepare for an audition with Lizzo. Only 10 dancers will make it onto the next stage of the competition and the next episode. Over the rest of the seasons, dancers will be eliminated as Lizzo asks them to perform at events, work with top choreographers, and have confidence in themselves.

Along with the premiere, Lizzo recently announced a new single, a Saturday Night Live performance April 16, an appearance on The Proud Family, and more! In a recent Instagram post, the superstar commented, “I know what y’all thinkin.. ‘damn lizzo you just announced a TV show… A single… and SNL.. Now what??’ But y’all don’t understand- I can’t be stopped. This is my season. I’m about to be everywhere and I’m about to announce the biggest thing YET. Bigger than anything I’ve ever done. 3 years in the making. A Dream Come True. Stay tuned…” It looks like Lizzo has big plans and finding her perfect dancers is only the beginning.

Watch Out for The Big Grrrls is streaming now exclusively on Prime Video.
