The wait is over! Nearly a year after Lizzo announced that she was looking for dancers, the pop stars dance competition series is coming very soon.

Officially titled Watch Out for the Big Grrrls, the dance show will span eight episodes of competition and conversations as the competing dancers combat stereotypes and beauty standards in the dance world and beyond. Oh, and their vying for a spot as one of Lizzo’s backup dancers for her world tour.

The show is executive produced and led by Lizzo herself, but she isn’t alone in the search. She is joined by choreographer Tanisha Scott and some of her current dancers Chawnta’ Marie Van, Shirlene Quigley, and Grace Holden. The show is also set to feature special guests. We’re excited to see how all of the stars contributing to the show and the overall competition push the dancers to be their best and challenge them to show off their strengths.

In an Instagram post announcing the series, Lizzo said, “I BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONEā€¦” She calls the show “the greatest moment of [her] career yet.” and is excited to use her influence to show the world more dancers like her. “If I gotta get a TV show to get the world to see the value in us big grrrls…IMMA DO IT.”

The “juiciest new series of the year” is coming to Prime Video on March 25. Check out the trailer now.
