Now that it’s August, it is time to prep for all of our favorite fall things: pumpkin-spiced lattes, school supplies, and the Vogue September issue. And, in case you didn’t know, the September issue, specifically who is on the cover of the September issue, is a big deal. (It’s also important for a lot of other cultural and advertising reasons that you can learn about here.)

Let's Talk About the Cover

Vogue announced on Wednesday that Jennifer Lawrence had taken the spotlight in not one, but four covers for this year's September Issue. This is surprising because, until now, no one has taken the cover twice. Getting to be featured on Vogue's September cover at all is unique. Being featured twice? That's a phenomenon.

What makes this even more interesting is that JLaw's second Vogue September issue cover is actually four covers, including a painted portrait of the Hunger Games star. To design these covers, Vogue brought in photographers Annie Leibovitz, Bruce Weber, and Inez and Vinoodh along with famous American painter John Currin.

We're sure Jennifer Lawrence is more than excited to be representing Vogue again (and on their 125th anniversary!). We just have one question. Which cover will be making its way to newsstands, bookstores, and our mailboxes this September!?

  1. Which cover is your favorite?

    1. John Currin's Portrait
    2. Annie Leibovitz' Ready for the Red Carpet Look
    3. Bruce Weber's Classic Black and White
    4. Inez and Vinoodh's Gray and Gold
