On Wednesday, Billboard’s 2022 Women in Music event took place at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles, California. The night’s performances and awards honored some of our favorite icons and role models including teen superstar Olivia Rodrigo and fan favorites Doja Cat and Karol G.

Fashion

The purple carpet was full of looks to remember from host Ciara’s stunning cheetah print to Karol G stunning with mint hair and a red dress. Olivia Rodrigo walked the carpet in a triple-belted tiered dress with shimmering rhinestone accents. Phoebe Bridgers rocked a cream Gucci suit with a beaded shirt, and she wasn’t the only one. Christina Aguilera and H.E.R. also brought jacket looks to the carpet. Runway ready, Doja Cat walked the carpet in a Carolina Herrera strapless dress with a fabulous tulle skirt. From high fashion to modern and edgy, these are looks we’ll be thinking about for a while.

Performances

Many of our favorite songs of the last year made it to the Women in Music stage as the honorees performed their hit songs. Taking the stage with her all-girl band, Olivia Rodrigo performed her single “deja vu,” and we can’t help but feel like we’ve done this all before (“deja vu” was her Tiny Desk closer as well). It’s still special!

H.E.R. sat down to bring us a live performance of “Fate” that we’ve had on repeat ever since. Is it really even our fault? This song is beautiful!

Saweetie, Doja Cat, Phoebe Bridgers, Bonnie Rait, and Gabby Barrett also performed throughout the evening.
