“If I can make one person turn a frown to a smile, then I feel I have done a wonderful job in helping others!”

How does dance have a positive impact on your life?

Dancing brings so much positivity to my life in many different ways. First, it allows me to keep my body healthy and active. Dance gives me the freedom to express my inner feelings through movement. I like that it also continues to bring a challenge to my brain and body which keeps me growing as an individual.

How do you want to use dance to be a positive influence on your community?

I use dancing to share messages with the community in many ways. Whether it be performing in a theater, nursing home, or in public, dancing brings joy to many people. The emotion each dance piece may have can touch people’s hearts in many ways and bring[ing] hope and joy is one of them. If I can make one person turn a frown to a smile, then I feel I have done a wonderful job in helping others!
