Faith Lohnes is a 17-year-old dancer from Camano Island, Washington. She dances at The Dance Project NW.

“I want to show people that you can do whatever you love as long as you work hard and never give up.”

How does dance have a positive impact on your life?

Dance has made me physically healthy and has helped me mentally in many different ways. Dance is one of the only things that got me through COVID, and it’s what I do to release stress in my life. It is also the way I met all of my closest friends.

How do you want to use dance to be a positive influence on your community?

I want to show people that you can do whatever you love as long as you work hard and never give up. I want people to see that as long as you believe in yourself, keep a positive mindset, and always keep trying, you can do what you love and follow your dreams.
