CONTEMPORARY

 Now more than ever dancers are flocking to this style because of its freedom, openess and ability to create a story through the most intricate movements of the body.Below we have a mash up of two contemporary dancers from our 2017 Houston regionals. A fusion of ballet, modern, jazz and even African dance styles are all what make up this beautiful form of art. The movements of a contemporary dancer can change from slow technical lines, to quick and abrupt torso isolations. The unpredictability is what makes contemporary so amazing. It gives dancers creative freedom, and allows them to become in tune with every inch of their bodies.
