“[Dance] allows me to escape my thoughts and benefits both my physical and mental health. Without dance, I would not be the person I am today.”

How does dance have a positive impact on your life?

I have struggled with mental illness for many years, and dance has been a great outlet for me. It allows me to escape my thoughts and benefits both my physical and mental health. Without dance, I would not be the person I am today.

How do you want to use dance to be a positive influence on your community?

I want to show people that, even in the toughest times, there is always an outlet. Even if it isn’t dance for them, I want people to know that there is something worth getting through tough times for.
