September is Broadway season this year as productions get back into rehearsals and reopen their doors for the first time in over a year. With so many shows celebrating their returns, it can be hard to keep up. We’ve got your back. Check out the Broadway shows returning this week. We have a feeling they’re some of your faves.

Hamilton (9/14)

The fans and cast of Hamilton were equally emotional about opening the doors to the first return performance at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. That stage is definitely the room where it happens!

Lackawanna Blues (9/14)

Lackawanna Blues staring Ruben Santiago-Hudson, began previews this week ahead of it’s September 28 opening at the Manhattan Theatre Club. Take a trip to 1956 in this play about a boarding house and its mother, “Nanny.”

Wicked (9/14)

Wicked is back and defying gravity at the Gershwin Theatre. We’re so excited to see this Broadway staple back on stage. This might musical might change you for good!

The Lion King (9/14)

The Minskoff Theatre is full of lions, meerkats, and zebras! The Lion King is back on Broadway, and Simba is as excited to be king as ever before.

Six (9/17)

Six officially opens on October 3, but the show is already running at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. This respun historical girl power musical is all amped up.

American Utopia (9/17)

The theatrical concert of David Byrne’s American Utopia is filling St. James Theatre with David’s hits and Talking Head favorites. Rock on!
